When most people think about water problems in the National capital, the first thing that comes to mind is water quality. But the ‘Jat agitation’ in haryana has brought to light another pressing issue where AAP government seems failed once again: water crisis in Delhi.
The water shortage, affecting as many as 18,686,902 families in Delhi, is getting worse day by day with the ‘Jat agitation’ going on and the AAP government’s failure to provide alternate source of water to Delhiites’. AAP’s National convener, Arvind Kejriwal, instead of doing something about the situation, did not miss a chance to bring the Central Government in to this situation. He even took to twitter asking them to intervene so that the situation can be sort out, as his latest publicity stunt and ‘fake concern’.
Tough days ahead for the people of Delhi
AAP government has failed badly to restore the water for the people of Delhi and has been seen running away from the prevailing water crisis. People of Delhi are grappling with the worst ever water crisis during the AAP regime, with supply plunging to an all-time low or say almost NIL. Delhiites would likely to face tough days in the coming future.
Was Kejriwal Sleeping over the issue?
Delhi Chief Minister, Kejriwal, was elected in 2015 to play his second innings, on a platform promising seriousness of various issues like water, electricity, corruption and what not, voters were disillusioned. Soon after his coming to power, he changed his colours like a chameleon, and the current situation of Delhi water crisis has been added as another feather on his “Liars Hat”.
People of Delhi are facing an unprecedented water crisis as more than 95% of its water supply has been badly hit by the ‘Jat agitation’ across Haryana. Out of nine, only two of the water treatment plants, which are fed by water from Uttar Pradesh are working, but for how long?
Was Delhi Government sleeping for the last few days, as it has failed to fight against the water crisis in Delhi?
Delhi in a mess
Kejriwal-led AAP government never took any serious steps to restore water for the people of Delhi. Instead of taking any preventive measure, Kejriwal as its latest publicity blamed Centre government for the same, leaving people of Delhi at the mercy of Centre’s decisions in the middle of ‘worst’ situation.
In short, with schools closed and people of Delhi on the threshold of a severe water crisis, AAP’s failure came into the light. It is a complete Political failure of Kejriwal-led AAP government. People who are most likely to suffer in this entire episode are the common men of Delhi as Kejriwal had made sufficient arrangements of the water supply to his MPs and MLAs (his Khaas Aadmi).
