After partying in Delhi, AAP hoping for a real party in Goa

“Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to sweep their ‘jhaadu’ off the shores of Goa as the party has decided to contest Goa State Assembly elections in 2017. The heavy dose of drama, AAP is known for, the party is in for some real fun!”

AAP has been on a rollercoaster ride and that too on the expense of taxpayers of Delhi. Spreading its tentacles, AAP is now exploring its avenues in other states. After Punjab, Goa seems to be the next destination of AAP. While Aam Aadmi Party is all set to contest the upcoming elections in state, it will be interesting to see the party goes about in the state with no base whatsoever.

Go Goa for AAP

Height of political opportunism, AAP might have considered a relatively easier ground as being a small state; it would be less difficult to make a mark there. But the crucial question arises here – how much do they know about the state?

For governance, you need to understand the ethos, culture & heritage of state. Being a Portuguese territory, Goa has a complex history and issues pertaining to state are very peculiar in nature, which no outsider can understand. There is also deep engraved sense of alienation among people of Goa. In such situation AAP can only create ripples in water but in no way can anchor the ship to the shores!

Well the road has always been long for Arvind Kejriwal and his very own party people. It’s good to fight elections and hold offices but being elected an elected member is no easy task and entrust a huge responsibility of representing voters. Fighting election for the sake of it or with an aim to accumulate wealth or fame would not take them anywhere.
