‘Chhotepur Supporters’ Thrash AAP Worker

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers gathered at their office in Amritsar on Tuesday to oppose the choice of election candidates and all hell broke loose when observers from Delhi thrashed a fellow worker who dared to support both.

The volunteers were not happy with the choice of candidates from Ajnala, Attari and Amritsar South for the 2017 Punjab elections, they started raising the slogan “Dilli waale bhajao, Punjab bachao (chase away Delhi guys, save Punjab)” when amongst them a voice rose, a worker by the name of Anil Mahajan and another man with him started shouting: “Kejriwal Zindabad” (long live Kejriwal, party’s national convener).

Initially the volunteers tolerated him until he started defending ticket distribution. It was then that they resorted to violence by grabbing, slapping and pushing him. Gurinder Singh Bajwa, AAP zonal in-charge, and some other workers intervened and tried to save him from the thrashing. The volunteers then took the man inside an office and when asked, he said, “Nobody beat me up. I have served the party for four years. Every ticket is fine. I don’t seek any post.” Later the volunteers clarified that no one was even raising a slogan against Kejriwal.

Mahajan is prominent at the AAP funcions. The volunteers had told the party to pick “deserving candidates” and reinstate Such Singh Chhotepur as its Punjab convener.

“We have given the party an ultimatum to reinstate Sucha Singh Chhotepur,” AAP Amritsar zone in-charge Gurinder Bajwa said. He also went on to state that Chhotepur had indeed done a lot for the party and ultimately became a victim of a conspiracy.

Meanwhile, Chhotepur through a Tweet advised his supporters not to indulge in violence.

Modi Is Hell Bent On Destroying The Capital Says The Infuriated Circus Clown, Kejriwal

Call him a drama queen or conspiracy theorist or for that matter even Santa clause if you may, you simply can’t ignore the most colourful personality to have hit Indian politics, perhaps in its entire Independent history. If you look at the antics of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, then he appears as anything but a politician.

When other parties gets by just pointing fingers at their opponents, our drama queen takes a step ahead by putting then under the bus and being the “main bechaari” of politics.

Having used the dirty antics way too many time still didn’t stop him from yet again accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, being “hell bent” on “destroying” the capital through the Lt Governor Jung on twitter.

The emotional outburst was followed by LG Najeeb Jung’s order to transfer several IAS and DANICS officers in the national capital.

In the wake of Delhi High Court ruling of Lt Governor still being the administrative head of the national capital. Jung recently replaced Health secretary Tarun Seem with IAS officer Chandrakar Bharti while Ashwani Kumar has been appointed as new PWD Secretary in place of non-IAS cadre office Sarvagya Srivastava.

“We have got to know that Modiji has asked LG on phone to transfer these two offices. Modi can go to any extent. If education and health quality deteriorates, Modiji will be responsible for this,” he said.

Joining the crew even health and PWD Minister Satyendra Jain told the media separately: “LG is hell bent on stopping every work of the Delhi government.
“We had requested him not to transfer the two secretaries till March 31 as they were involved in developing Mohalla Clinics and classrooms in schools.
“They were doing good work but to no avail,” Jain told the media here.

Whether its praising, rubbishing, analyzing or in this case even attacking Kejrwal never fails to create a buzz around him.

Kejriwal Brings Back Blame Game as Two of His Officers Are Transferred by High Court

On Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung ordered the transfer of several senior officials of the Delhi government to various departments. This action prompted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to brew up accusations against the Centre for meddling.

Following the Delhi High Court order that has stated that the L-G was the administrative head of the city, this has been the first major bureaucratic reshuffle in departments, including health, public works and environment.

From the various petitions sent to the High Court, which delivered its verdict on August 4th, included the petition sent by Kejriwal’s government, challenging the Centre’s notification on May 21, 2015, that put “Services” under the command of the L-G.

Some of the changes include Health secretary Tarun Seem who has been replaced by Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Chandrakar Bharti and now Ashwani Kumar has been appointed as the PWD secretary in place of Sarvagya Srivastava.

Following High Court orders, deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia requested Jung not to transfer the above mentioned two officers as they were handling some of the more ambitious projects of AAP, such as setting up mohalla clinics and the construction of new schools.

However, the transfer order invoked a rather sharp response from the government with Kejriwal pointing fingers at the Centre saying Prime Minister Narendra “Modi is hell bent on destroying Delhi through LG.”

“Today, several officers transferred by LG directly. Files not even shown to CM or any minister. Is this Modi model of democracy?” Kejriwal tweeted.

He also added that the LG did not pay heed to Sisodia’s request of not transferring PWD and health secretary till March 31st.

Kejriwal Yet Again Accuses Prime Minister Modi’s “Hand In Glove” With Power Distribution Companies

Resorting to his good old ways, once again Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attacks Lt Governor and the Centre while accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of instructing LG Najeeb Jung to cancel the AAP government’s order to make discoms pay compensation to consumers for unscheduled power cuts and further may turn down the government’s power-subsidy decision and minimum wages proposal.

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) had, in April passed an order, asking power distribution companies to compensate consumers for unscheduled power cuts extending up to two hours in the national capital.

Addressing a gathering at North West Delhi’s Najafgarh area, Kejriwal expressed that the power situation would have been better in Delhi but Modi has not let that happen. He had also claimed yesterday that LG Najeeb Jung has sought the file related to power subsidy on the instructions of the Prime Minister, even as he cautioned against a hike in power tariff in the city.

“We had passed an order under which discoms would have to compensate consumers for unscheduled power cuts. They were bound to pay a penalty of Rs 100 for power cut for every hour.

“15 days ago, LG sahab called the file pertaining to this matter and cancelled this order. Modi is hand-in-glove with power companies. Why Modi ji needed to turn down this order?” Kejriwal said.

He went further on to express his apprehension that his government’s proposal to increase minimum wages by up to 50 per cent could be shot down by Jung.

He asked the people to “gherao the Prime Minister and Lt Governor” if any such step is taken.

In between the function,  when protesters showed black flags to Kejriwal for failing to deliver his election poll promises which included installation of CCTV cameras, construction of 500 new school buildings, Wi-fi and regular jobs for contractual employees of DTC.

Kejriwal again dragged the Centre of not clearing the Delhi government’s proposal to regularise hundreds of unauthorised colonies in the capital.

Kejriwal insisted if the proposal is approved, such colonies will be regularised within 24 hours. “We cannot wait for Modi ji’s nod. I have directed my ministers to carry out development works in all unauthorised colonies which include construction of roads and laying of water pipelines,” he said.

Twitter Feud: Karat Vs. Kejriwal

CPI(M)’s Politburo member, Brinda Karat, took a hit at Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal regarding his tweet on Tarun Sagar’s, a Jain monk, speech at Haryana assembly.

“Tarun Sagar ji Maharaj is a very revered saint, not just for Jains but everyone. Those showing disrespect is unfortunate and should stop,” Kejriwal tweeted after music composer Vishal Dadlani tweeted that Tarun’s speech as a “monkery” on Saturday.

Karat then took a punch back at Kejriwal with this tweet: “State assembly is place to revere secular constitution. @ArvindKejriwal Don’t set wrong precedence.”

This whole conundrum has divided people; where one section of the CPI(M) is rather sympathetic towards Kejriwal and share his ideology, another section has not taken Kejriwal’s style of governance well, like Karat. Being in charge of Delhi and trying to bring back the party’s fortune in the national capital makes it clear that Karat is going to take Kejriwal head on.

Not too taken aback by Karat’s tweet, Kejriwal went on to back Tarun Sagar, this time however bring into light his personal experience with the monk.

“I met Shri Tarun Sagar ji Maharaj last year. Our family regularly listens to his discourses on TV. We deeply respect him and his thoughts,” he said.

Karat further asked Kejriwal if he supported “values that promote wifely obedience to husband’s discipline”.

Only a few years ago did the CPI(M) leader went head on with yogo guru Baba Ramdev, question the quality of his medicines.

Another One Bites The Dust, Vishal Dadlani Quit AAP After His Mocking Tweet

Music director and singer Vishal Dadlani, celebrity supporter of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has announced he is quitting all political work after his mocking tweet on Jain religious leader Tarun Sagar, a noted jain monk, at Haryana assembly where he gave a 40-minute long speech in nude,  caught fire on twitter.

Vishal, who has been one of the most visible activists of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for quite some time now, had to soon bow down to pressure from Jains, AAP, and Twitterati.

it all started around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, when Vishal said on Twitter: “People actually trying to defend the colossal idiocy of some naked monk, addressing Haryana assembly, telling women how to live! UNREAL! (2) [sic].”

He further on added “That dude has the same education, as he has clothes on. None. I’ve no problem with nudity. I have a problem with religion in governance. [sic]”

However, a day later Dadlani deleted his tweet and made apologies to the jain community. But Dadlani came under widespread attack from members of the Jain community. Kejriwal described Tarun Sagarji Maharaj “as a very revered saint, not just for Jains but everyone. Those showing disrespect is unfortunate and should stop. We deeply respect him and his thoughts”.

After the announcement of his departure from the party a lot of speculation of being thrown out of the party has been stewing. To which, In a string of tweets, Dadlani insisted that the party had not shown the door to him after his controversial tweet on a Jain religious leader, Tarun Sagar. “A lot is being said against AAP because I chose to quit. I just want to say, AAP is a family. Please keep faith in (Delhi Chief Minister) Arvind Kejriwal and the party!”

“I apologize again, to the Jain Community and all others offended. But I beg you all not to support religion in governance, for India’s sake. I’m no leader, man. I’m just a guy with too many opinions. Learnt that India is safer when we all just wave and smile.Nothing vulgar about nudity. Telling women how to live, what to wear, where to go, what to do. THAT is vulgar!” he added. “I am happy to apologize, as long as people can see that mixing religion in governance is a serious problem!”

AAP to Sack Party’s Punjab Minister Suchcha Singh Chhotepur

Today, Aam Aadmi Party, could Sack their Punjab chief Suchcha Singh Chhotepur, who has allegedly taken a bribe for assigning constituencies to party candidates for the assembly elections meant to be held early next year.

A letter was written to AAP convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by 21 AAP leaders from Punjab, including members of Parliament Bhagwant Mann and Sadhu Singh, asking him to immediately sack Mr. Chhotepur based on “our party’s principles of zero tolerance towards corruption.”

They orchestrated a sting operation against the Punjab leader in which the 65-year-old is allegedly accepting cash from a candidate. According to AAP sources with the letter the party leaders have enclosed the video to Kejriwal, but the clip has not been made public.

Delhi CM has called a meeting with top party leaders in Delhi to discuss the fate of Mr. Chhotepur. “There will be action against Chhotepur,” predicted AAP spokesperson in Punjab Himmat Singh Shergill.

Chhotepur on the other hand has denied all allegations and is demanding the sting be shown to him. “This is a conspiracy hatched against me by some of my own partymen…I will disclose everything on Friday,” said former Punjab minister, who will address the matter in a press conference in Chandigarh today.

Why hasn’t AAP made the sting clip public? Was this a preconceived attempt by AAP to get rid of Chhotepur? Seeing AAPs backlog, this could be very likely.
